Halfway to NoWhere

Ranting and Complaints of Life in Taiwan

Back from Japan

Taking a week off for a private trip to Japan is just outright sweet.

Well, for those of you who know me, I’m a Japanese Culture Maniac. So what do you get if you put one of these freaks in the middle of Kyoto for roughly a week? You figure out the answer lol.

Anyways, so I took the entire week between July 12 through 18 off, and visited Kyoto. I was actually in Osaka on the first day, but given the fatigue from all the airport hastle and flight, it wasn’t much of a tour. Of course, not to mention the wonderful NWA for selecting me in their lucky draw as the ‘random’ sacrifice to airport security scruitiny. Can you say ‘anal retentive’? sheesh…

In the next few weeks, there’s going to be a fest of photos and comments about this trip from yours sincerely. For your own good, maybe you shouldn’t be looking forward to it.

  1. So did you continue to pillage, plunder and gather more loot from Kyoto to build on the wealth and hordes of valuables that you have accumulated in your lair?

Seriously, if anything, I’m looking forward to photos of *that* instead.

But I’m eager to see your trip photos and comments too. 🙂

  2. Well, I did visit the Animate, Melon Books, and Gamers in Kyoto. Unfortunately, there wasn’t major plundering as you might expect – simply because there weren’t enough selections.

Sorry to disappoint you there, bro.

As for the pictures, I need to retrieve them from my friend’s HDD. There’s probably about 6 Gs worth.
